Hydrology of the Tres Arroyos in Malalcahuello, Chile

• Extensive field campaigns were carried out mainly during spring and early summer:

  April 2006 - May 2006
  Measurements of rainfall, discharge, soil moisture and ground water dynamics, throughfall and soil physical parameters as well as tracer experiments and monitoring of stream water chemistry are carried out to determine the relevant runoff processes.
A neighbouring catchment with mixed land use (Piedra Santa Catchment) was investigated for purposes of comparison. However, field work focused on the catchment of the Tres Arroyos (Malalcahuello Catchment) and only few parameters were measured at Piedra Santa.
