Determination of soil physical parameters
Soil physical parameters were determined in the field (permeability measurements) as well as in the lab (hydraulic conductivitities and pF-curves of undisturbed soil cores, grain size distribution of various ash soil horizons).
For a better characterization of the subsurface intrusive methods
(augering/soil pits/core sampling) as well as non-intrusive methods
(electrical resistivity) were employed.
